The New Rouse Hill is a joint venture between Lend Lease and the GPT Group in conjunction with Landcom and the NSW Department of Planning. This unique and vibrant community will transform the northwest sector of Sydney by providing a fully functional and cohesive township. Large-scale supporting infrastructure, including schools, community facilities and retail options, will meet the needs of the growing community. In the early 1980s, the Department of Planning identified The New Rouse Hill site as the ideal location for a regional centre within the Rouse Hill Development area. The Department set about purchasing the site for this purpose and, in 2002/2003 through a tender process, selected the Lend Lease GPT joint venture to develop the land for the Department of Planning.
