16 December, 2009: The New Rouse Hill is embracing the school holidays with a three week ‘Summer Buzz’ festival commencing 5th January that includes a series of fun-filled events for the whole family to enjoy from story reading, to encounters with reptiles and a cinema under the stars.
The excitement kicks off with Storytelling for Kids. Kids entertainer ‘Groovy Suzy’ will take children on an imaginary story time adventure while mum and dad enjoy a free coffee and cake. And the fun doesn’t stop there. A free jumping castle will also keep the kids entertained for hours while parents tour the stylish single and double story display homes on offer at The New Rouse Hill.
If animals are more your interest, The New Rouse Hill invites children of all ages to the Reptile Encounter. Get up close and personal under the careful supervision of trained professionals. The activity showcases reptiles such as pythons, frilled necked lizards and crocodiles, giving children an opportunity to take a sneak peek into the animal kingdom.
Other festive activities include The New Rouse Hill’s Wine and Cheese Tasting. A perfect way to spend an evening with your partner or even a group of friends, the Wine and Cheese Tasting promises to be a tantalising treat for the tastebuds. After a day in the sun, why not come down and enjoy a glass of chilled wine and sample some of Australia’s best cheeses.
The festivities conclude with a night at the movies. The Twilight Cinema will show the hilarious Ben Stiller comedy ‘Night at The Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian’. With pre-entertainment starting at 6:30pm, the event provides an ideal opportunity to pack a picnic blanket and enjoy a free sausage sizzle, popcorn and yummy snow cones.
Arthur llias, Project Director of The New Rouse Hill said ‘Summer is a great time of year to be with friends and family. We at The New Rouse Hill would like to invite members of the surrounding community to the Summer Buzz to kick back and relax this festive season.
